How to create a bin and have things organised in Final cut

First you should have a project open in front of you already

on the left side of your screen there should be a box/window named "browser:" Right click in the box/window and click new bin to create the bin.

The bin acts like a folder to store your stuff and keep things tidy and organised. Once you have clicked "new bin" this should appear in the browser box/window
Now you can name the bin. Once you have dragged all the things you want into the bin it should make the browser box/window seem  less cramped and more tidy.

I have made a bin for all my video material and my picture material and have labelled them. As you can see its looking much more neat.

Now I am going to mark stuff I have used.

To mark things in the browser box/window you drag the box/window wider by clicking the edge and moving it wider.

And then click in the "Good" column

Now your footage or picture should be marked as "good" with a tick next to it
You can also make log notes too
